Description

Growing Minds Daycare is a new, ground-up construction project in Boulder, Colorado. In their current location they are spread in multiple spaces under multiple leases. With this move they can consolidate their programs and staff in an updated and permanent home.

Located on the last lot of Diagonal Crossing, the playful design makes it clear that its use is unique among the other buildings while still complementing the overall development design. A nod to the iconic one-room schoolhouse and vernacular cladding styles makes Growing Minds approachable and familiar but bright and new.

Serving kids from six weeks to 13 years, Arrow B focused on finishes and details that could be viewed and enjoyed from wee perspectives – windows set at low heights, tactile surfaces, and wayfinding color cues engage the children and help them navigate the spaces.
